Jõumees Aare Bee Yard has been operating since 1998. By now, bee-keeping has become a family enterprise. The apiary started with two beehives, and now it has approximately a thousand swarms and operates multiple-storey beehives. The principal product of the apiary is honey. In addition to that, we also make honey-based products: honey with ginger, honey with propolis and honey with pollen and propolis. We also make creamed honey, which has become trendy in recent years.

Our apiculture products include pollen, propolis and pollen load. The foraging area includes beautiful marshes and heathlands in the Luitemaa Natura 2000 protected areas in Häädemeeste municipality, where one of the main bee plants is heather. Heather honey under the name ‘Kanarbikumesi’ is one of the bee yard’s most famous trademarks which loyal clients go back to, over and over again. Depending on the customer’s request, products can be packaged in plastic containers or glass jars etc., which make nice gifts.

The best proof of the high quality of our honey and fermented honey is the Swallow Label ‘Approved Estonian Taste’ issued by the ECAC.

We also specialize in raising swarms and queen-bees for other apiaries as well as selling equipment for beginner bee-keepers.
